Valentine’s Day Cookies & Milk Party

Happy Monday! February, the month where we celebrate love, is just around the corner and we are all starting to plan parties and dinners for our friends, family and kid’s school activities. I thought this cookies & milk party seen on Juicy Bit’s would beĀ  a great way to kick off our upcoming posts on Valentine’s Day inspirations.

What I love most about this party is that it is very chic and simple and it’s a great way to celebrate on a budget. Cookies and milk is certainly not going to break the bank. You can either fill the cookie table with various kinds of store bought cookie or you can have a DIY type party where your party attendants decorate their own cookies. I prefer a combination.

I just can’t get enough of the barber pole paper straw trend that’s hot right now. They make any beverage festive and fun!

LOVE the paper heart garland hanging above the table.

Vintage milk jugs….hello!! I always squeal in delight whenever I see these. What can I say…I’m a sucker for anything nostalgic. A great combination to the cookie table is to have a flavored milk bar. You can offer flavor options such as chocolate, vanilla, banana or strawberry. I love this organic strawberry syrup. It’s really good and isn’t to sweet.

As I mentioned before…having your guests decorate their own cookies is a fun way way to get your guests to be more interactive with each other. This is the PERFECT idea for a kids party, especially easy and fun for a school activity. You can buy sugar cookie dough at the supermarket, bake a few batches, and get all your decorating supplies at Michael’s, Jo-Ann’s or AC Moore.

These are all very simple ingredients to having a super fun, chic on budget, Valentine’s Day party!
