Inspiring Superbowl Party Idea

Superbowl Sunday is this weekend and it’s one of those parties that you just can’t resist going all out for! I spotted this fun “football” party on Kara’s Party Ideas and I thought it would make for great inspiration for throwing a super cool Superbowl bash! Whether you have a tailgate sort of party outdoors or a cozy shin dig with some close friends, chic entertianing is always a winner. This lovely party was created by Amanda of Shindig Parties To Go. Their are so many fun sporty details from the field gold post to the football cookies. It all came together really nice.Guess what the best part is…Amanda said the whole table came together for under $100. If that’s not entertaining chic on a budget then I don’t know what is. So get ready for a  fabulous Superbowl Sunday. This whole printable party pack can be purchased here AND you can even choose your own teams colors!

The football cupcake holders are just perfect for the table and I’m also digging the pennant flags in the rice kripsie treats.

Amanda’s How To’s:

CREATING THE  GOAL POST: Using PVC pipe from the plumbing section of the hardware store, I made the goal post to display the birthday boy’s name. After creating the post from pvc, I put a little hot glue on all the fittings to make sure they would stay in place, and then I painted the whole thing bright yellow with spray paint. I used a Dollar Tree trash can in white with some plaster of paris to secure the goal post in place. After the plaster dried, I cut a small piece of the astroturf to cover the plaster.

CREATING THE MEGAPHONES: I used megaphones and foam footballs, also from the Dollar Tree, to create the cupcake stand centerpieces. I covered them in 12″x12″ scrapbook paper (which didn’t completely cover the back, but you could piece it together to cover or you could just leave the back unfinished) and then used blue and white polka dot ribbon (Hobby Lobby) to finish off each end of the megaphone.
