If you are like me, then DIY a wedding or party favor is a project you are willing to tackle. DIY favors make the perfect little gifts and are a super special way of saying “thank you” because they are made from the heart. You put your heart, soul and time into every little detail with a DIY project. This project for vintage bookmarks I spotted on Country Living by Andrea Singarella, was to pretty not to share with you all. I think they would be a fabulous choice for a Parisian, shabby chic or vintage themed celebration. All the items making up these book marks are easily accessible at your local crafts store (or online). Gather some girlfriends or family members to help you make these and they will be done in no time. Just don’t forget the cupcakes and champagne.
STEPS TO ASSEMBLE:
Cut velvet ribbon ($1.59 per yard; mjtrim.com) into nine-inch lengths. Purchase ribbon clamps the same width as your ribbon (from $1.50 per 10 pack; artfire.com), then use flat-nose jewelry pliers to affix clamps to both ends of each ribbon. Finish by attaching charms, trinkets, or vintage earrings (from 25 cents each; eebeads.com) to the clamps with jump rings ($4.12 per 100 pack; amazon.com).
