The sun is finally shining here in Connecticut and I am so happy. I think today is a wonderful day to share a bit of sweet elegance and prettiness. This perfectly styled dessert table was sent to me by the uber talened Kristen of Queen Bee Cakery, who designed, styled and baked the goods for her friend’s housewarming party. The artist that Kristen is, took cues from the color scheme of Andrea’s home décor to help inspire the look of the table. The tasty treats on the table included: chocolate cake with chocolate ganache filling, chocolate macarons, coconut mini cupcakes, and chocolate and vanilla cake pops, dipped in white and milk chocolate. Kristen then added red and white rock candy, and candy sixlets for a little bit of extra flair. I love this table because it is not over styled, the colors work together and the decor is so simple, pretty and yet elegant. LOVE this!
DESIGN TIP: Always pay attention to the surroundings in which your dessert table will be displayed. Kristen used the colors that were in her friends home to help guide her. This tip is an easy way to get a cohesive and well put together party or event design.
The flowers, sugar pearls and quilt detailing on this cake is absolutely gorgeous. If you live in MA and ever need a cake, this is proof that there is no better place to get one than Queen Bee Cakery.
