The foyer or your home is a space I feel really needs your attention. Why you ask? The foyer entry to your home is the first interior living space that introduces visitors to your style and taste. It says, this is me. This is what you are most likely to find in the rest of my home. A foyer doesn’t need to be over done to make an impact. It’s also a great space to perform double duty. You can always put a little dresser there with draws for extra storage. You know, the space you put the extra toys in when your mother-in-law decides to just pop over for a “quick” visit. I decided to share the budget friendly makeover of my foyer with you for a little home decorating inspiration. My sweet friend, Jennifer of J.Fierick Photography was kind enough to photograph the space for me.
BEFORE
AFTER: The mirror ($65)and lantern ($35) were finds from HomeGoods. The topiary tree from Potterybarn. The rustic box was a flea market find and the books are from my local thrift store. The little white table was taken from another space in the home as it wasn’t being used. I am a big fan of using what you already have. I wanted the little table to have various textures, which is why I chose the topiary tree, rustic box and the lantern with a rustic feel and nail heads. The box we use to throw our keys in when we get home. Lanterns are a big trend right now in home décor and can be found in many stores in a wide range of prices. The candle in the lantern is lite when we expect guests. It smells amazing and gives off a soft glow when the light is off. What better way to say welcome than the scent of vanilla.

What a great little addition to make the foyer feel cozier. I’ve always wished our foyer was a bit bigger to accommodate a fun table like this. But, I do have a fun little red storage unit on the wall and we can hang jackets on it.

Oh Brenda, I bet that red piece really pops. It’s not the size of the space but how you utilize it and I am sure your space looks great!

OH, how pretty and welcoming, while being cozy and serene at the same time! It’s AMAZING how you can transform an area with just a few items and IMO, there’s NOTHING nicer in the evening or when it’s dark and dreary outside than walking into someone’s home who has candles burning! You did a fantastic job putting all those elements together; that’s a fabulous mirror (I’m sort of a mirror afficianado)and the lantern is also beautiful! What would we do without Home Goods, LOL?

HomeGoods is our savior LOL. I just love them to pieces. Thanks so much for the sweet comments and yes, I was saying the same thing. Look at what a few little tweaks can do

Thanks Michelle, I think I will start sharing more colors for paint, people seem to always have questions/comments on them. XO
