So on Christmas day guess what happened? My dear friend got engaged!! I had been encouraging her fiancĂ© to “pop the question” after the first few times I met him and we all hung out. The way he looked at her, I could tell he was smitten with her and so in love. They are getting married in the most acclaimed romantic city in the world, Paris! How exciting it is. My mind is ticking away with ideas and images of how fabulous of a Bride she is going to be. She is so elegant and has so much style it’s ridiculous. I hope to be able to share pictures
She is kinda private, so no telling there. But if you love Paris (say it with an accent now…Parrrris) then here are some pretty ideas to having a Parisian wedding with style.
Choose a dress that says nothing but romance and a floral color palette that is soft and feminine. Just ask yourself “what would Marie Antoinette do? When you can answer that question, you will know you are on the right track.

Get married somewhere really serene and that has lush landscaping and an open air feel to it, say a mansion or castle that exudes romance, history and character.
Location: Rosecliff, Newport RI
One of my favorite catch phrases is “go glamours or go home” and in a Parisian style wedding I think this holds so true. These are simply some of the most elegant statement pieces I have seen. Swoon.
Incorporate traditional French sweets into your dessert offering such as French Macaroons.
Add romantic lighting touches to your day. Whether it be a chandelier or candelabras, these are romantic touches that go so well with the Paris style.

I love this post – Paris is so romantic – as are the Newport Mansions in RI. We just toured 3 of them for Christmas and my daughter is already saying how great it would be to marry at one {she’s 5}. Guess I have time to save the $
